Mearl E. Siegel, age 99, of Perry, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Geneva Village Retirement Community. She was born Sept. 4, 1911, in Kunkle, Ohio to Abbie (Hamp) and Daniel Barrett. She married William Siegel Dec. 24, 1937. She was a member of United Church of Geneva, Eastern Star of Geneva, Delta Kappa Gamma and Retired Teachers' Association. She enjoyed participating in Bridge clubs. Survivors are her son, Jon Siegel of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Cobb of Columbus, Matthew (Amy) Cobb of Madison, Christopher (Sonya) Cobb of Phoenix, Ariz. and Elizabeth (Gregory) Byers of Geneva; great-grandchildren, Micah, Christopher Jr., Benjamin, Gregory III, Gavin, and Casey. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Jane Szewczyk; parents; and siblings. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 11, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 12, at The United Church, 75 S. Broadway, Geneva, with Pastor Bob Cunningham officiating. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery in Perry.
