Winnie Elizabeth Brown
Mrs. Winnie E. Brown, 87, 3425 Colby Ave., died early Thursday in a local hospital. Mrs. Brown was born in Rock Island, Illinois, Aug. 25, 1876, and had lived in Everett for the past 25 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ivan (Winnie) Buckner of 2202 McDougall; three sons, Arthur Duffy of Salt Lake City, Merle Duffy of Tacoma and Joseph Duffy of Shelton; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Daugherty, Knoxville, Illinois, and Mrs. Ida Hoskins, Tracy, Iowa; 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the chapel of the Solie Funeral Home with the Rev. Jake Schopf officiating. Burial will be at Cypress Lawn Cemetery. Casketberers will be members of Calvary Baptist Church.
