Malcolm was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 21, 1931, to Malcolm Flynn Justice and Elizabeth Yarnall Justice. He spent his young life in Oklahoma City and Jackson, Mississippi, which he called home.
Malcolm attended military school as a young boy and was a First Lieutenant of the 53rd Infantry Ski Mounted Regiment in Anchorage, Alaska.
He attended The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and graduated with a BBA and a law degree. He furthered his studies with a graduate degree in oil and gas law at SMU.
After graduation, he began his career with Carter Oil which led him to Vernal, Utah where he met his sweet wife. He then embarked on his lifelong career as an independent oil and gas broker where he founded Crest Resources, Inc. with his business partner, Bob Kunkel.
Malcolm loved the dry climate and beauty of the west, especially Salt Lake City. He was very involved in civic and social organizations. His memberships include The Salt Lake Country Club, past member and officer of Rotary Club 24 and past board member of the Alta Club.
Malcolm and Cherie loved to travel, and their family has many fond memories of trips to Europe, Asia and everywhere in between (Lake Powell was a favorite on the Cherie Bell).
He embodied and was the epitome of the Southern Gentleman. He always took such great care of his wife, children and grandchildren. He took great pride in his grandchildren's accomplishments and each of their unique endeavors and talents. He left a legacy of love, service and deep spirituality.
He is survived by his wife, Cherie; sons: Flynn (Mimi) and Jeffrey (Molly); grandchildren: Nicholas, Michael, Thomas and Phoebe; brother-in-law, E. Gordon Gee; and niece, Rebekah Gee.
