He is the brother of Nicey A (1844); Rebecca E. (1846); James Milton (1851); Fanny J (1855); William Gaulden (1857); Mary Jane (1860); Martha Elizabeth (1861); General Jackson (1863) and Sarah Sally (1865) Bowen.
Elisha "Bud" M. Bowen, age 73, died of heart failure on April 22, 1922 (b) in Statesboro, Bulloch County, GA. J. D. Bowen signed as informant. Arrangements were with undertakers Statesboro Buggy and Wagon Co. He was buried in the Lower Lotts Creek Church Cemetery (c), Statesboro, GA.
Footnotes: (a) Some reference Millington as his middle name, but his mother's father had the first name of Milligan. (b) His Death Certificate form has preprinted places for year as "191_" to complete the year's last digit which when "2" added, made it incorrectly appear as "1912". The year of 1922 is clearly and correctly written and signed by the local Registrar and medical official on the document. He died the month before he would have been 74 as incorrectly written on his Certificate. (c) Burial was noted in Bowen Cemetery on Death Certificate.
