LOIS JEAN PATTERSON -
Lois Jean Patteson passed away on 11/24/2003 at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach, Ca. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Elmer and Audra (Audrey) Moss on 3/13/1925. She married the love of her life, Charles Arthur Patteson on May 11, 1942. At one time, they owned the Kendale Studios in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
After living for a time in Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. Patterson moved to California. They looked for the perfect home and found it in Costa Mesa. After moving to Costa Mesa with her husband and children, Mr. Patterson passed away in 1971. Mrs. Patterson continued to live in Costa Mesa, California, for over thirty years.
Mrs. Patterson still has family living in Indiana. She is survived by seven sisters, Betty Robbins, Auburn; Geri Burns, Grabill; Kathryn Snyder, Marge Krueckeberg, Carol Wilson, Judy Johnson, Becky Rife, and two brothers, Elmer Moss, Jr., and Danny Moss, all of Fort Wayne. Mrs. Patterson has two step daughters Sally Beck in Fort Wayne and Shirley Walters in Lometa, Texas.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by two sons: Richard Patterson of Costa Mesa, California and David Patterson, Nanaimo, British Columbia; and five daughters: Gloria Mitchell of Riverside, Ca., Bonnie Mauch of Chino, Ca., Diana May of San Bernardino, Ca., Donna Morin of Roseberg, Or., and Linda Patterson of Costa Mesa, Ca. Mrs. Patterson has 27 grandchildren and about forty two great grandchildren. Mrs. Patterson was a child care provider for many years.
She is going to be laid to rest at Good Shepard Cemetery, 17952 Beach Boulevard, Huntington Beach, California on Tuesday December 2nd, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Services under the direction of Rose Hills Mortuary, Costa Mesa, California.
