Helen A. Pagel, 76, of 106 North Thomas St, Merrill, died on Friday morning, June 23, 1995 at her home.
Helen was born on January 22, 1919 in the Town of Corning to the late Robert and Elsa Henrichs Krueger. She married Alfred E. Pagel on November 1, 1945 in Merrill.
A homemaker, Helen had also done domestic work for the late Dr. William Braun for over 30 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, and enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and had been an avid Chicago Cubs fan since her childhood.
Survivors include her daughter, JoAnn Pagel, a brother Robert (AJ) Krueger; three sisters, Iva Wendt, Viola Duwe, and Eldora (Carl) Bloomquist, all of Merrill.
She was preceded in death by her parents. her husband Alfred in 1982; two brothers, Gerhardt and Leo Krueger and a sister Ruth Achterberg.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, June 26, 1995 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Merrill. The Rev. Kenneth Albers officiated and burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Town of Maine, Marathon County.
The Taylor Funeral Home of Merrill was in charge of the arrangements.
