Sharon L. Peet, 69, of Lincoln, joined her loving husband Ron in heaven on Monday, April 23, 2012, in Lincoln, due to complications following heart surgery. She was born January 6, 1943, in Valentine, to Lynn and Doris (Tyler) Parks. Sharon was a member of Capitol City Christian Church and enjoyed being actively involved in all aspects of her grandchildren's lives. She was a former part owner of USA Steak Buffet and also worked at the County Assessors office. Sherry was a well known shopper, loved to decorate, and enjoyed her flower garden.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ty and Karla Peet; daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Troy Underwood, all of Lincoln; grandchildren, Justin Peet, Jordan Peet, Zach Peet, Preston Peet, Austin Underwood, Karsin Underwood, and Zander Underwood; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Cindy Parks, Fremont; brother-in-law, Jim Peet, Phoenix; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenny and Wanda Pence, Malcolm; mother-in-law, Fern Peet, Lincoln; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, infant son, and husband.
Memorial service: 1 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, at Capitol City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege Street, Lincoln, NE 68505, with Pastor Bill Thornton officiating. Cremation, no visitation. Honorary pallbearers: "The Wicked Eight" (long time high school friends).
