Mrs. Opal Lemons, 81 of 1105 S. 11th St. died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Hospital. Born in Palmyra, Mrs. Lemons was the daughter of James Henry and Nellie Mae Crum White.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Helen Bernice Black of Springfield, Mrs. Paula Fry and Mrs. Maxine Pass, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters; Mrs. Mildred Roller of Palmyra, and Mrs. Edith Costello of Springfield; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with the Rev. William C. Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
