Aged Woman Dies Here After Over Year's Sickness
Laura (sic) A. Vernon, 72, died at her home on North Rogers street at 2:45 a.m. today after an illness from paralysis which lasted over a year. The death was caused by a stroke.
Mrs. Vernon was born in Ohio 72 years ago to the union of Mr. and Mrs. John Burnett. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Stanley and Otis Vernon, and three daughters, Laura Dodds, Lossie and Mrs. Marshall Hacker of Indianapolis.
Rev. Matthews will have charge of the funeral services.
The funeral of Mrs. Vernon will be held at the residence, 911 north Rogers street, Friday at 2 p.m., in charge of Rev. Matthews of the First Christian church. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery. Pall bearers will be: James N. Blair, Sandy Cardwell, W. M. Smith, William Ogg, Parker Torrence, and E. S. Poole.
Mrs. Vernon is survived by one brother, Ed. Burnett, of Cleveland, O.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. LAURA (sic) VERNON
The funeral services for Mrs. Laura (sic) A. Vernon, who died at her home on north Rogers street yesterday afternoon, will be held at the residence, 911 north Rogers street, tomorrow, at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. Matthews, of the First Christian church. Burial in Rose Hill.
