Funeral services for Fannie Mae Durrance Parker, 79, will be held 11AM Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the chapel at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL with Rev. Steve Mouzon from the Lakeshore Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Fannie Mae was born on May 7, 1932 in Bowling Green, FL. She went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2012 in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by her family. Fannie Mae was a long time resident of Jacksonville, FL for the past 62 years. She was a graduate of Massey Business College. She was a Bell Telephone Secretary after graduation for two years.
Fannie Mae was predeceased by her parents, Huston and Rhoda Durrance; and two brothers, Doyle and Milton Durrance. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Leon Parker; two sons, Michael Parker (Laurie) of Jacksonville, and Tony Parker (Andrea) of Fort Meade, FL; five grandchildren, Matthew Parker (Cassie) of Charleston, S.C., Andrew Parker of Winston Salem, N.C., Tonya Parker of Bartow, FL, Randi Sackett (Cody) of Fort Meade, FL, and Ethan Parker of Fort Meade, FL; one great-grandson, Garrett Sackett; sister, Mary Lois Crawley and her husband Leonard of Fort Green, FL, and many other loving family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday prior to the service from 10AM-11AM at the funeral home.
