Phil moved to Yuma in 1971, where he was a crop duster for Western Farms and Arizona Ag. Phil was also a pilot for Western Newspapers for many years. He was a strong family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Phil is survived by his children, Philip (Regina), Camey (Casey) Nelson and Rane Danielsen; his friend Kat Summerchild; his seven grandchildren and by his brother and sisters.
A celebration of life will be held on April 28th, 2012 at 5:30 at the Montoya residence, 1731 S. 9th Ave.

Born Sept. 8, 1939, in Brockton, Mass., he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a commercial pilot.
Services are pending with Yuma Mortuary.

Phil was divorced from the mother of his two oldest children (Philip and Camey), but I have linked their Find-A-Grave memorials together. Following their divorce, Norene's maiden name was restored to her (Winn).
