Lettie Cooke Dies at 83; Rites Pending
Mrs. Lettie F. Cooke, 83, 1912 Buchanan, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 9, 1882 in Missouri. She lived at Beloit in Mitchell County before moving to Topeka in 1928. She was a member of the former Euclid Methodist Church many years. She worked at a Topeka physician's clinic several years.
Survivors include two sons, Duane Cooke, of the home, and Harold Cooke, South Gate, Calif.; a daughters, Mrs. Nila Hatcher, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Lulu M. Duncan, 1135 College, and Mrs. Ethel Springer, Jewell; a brother, Earl Duncan, Beloit; five grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
