Germain was born in Dayton, Montgomery Co., Ohio, November 28, 1903; died at age 84 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., NC, September 10, 1988; buried at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., NC.
Germain married first in Florence, Pinal Co., Arizona, February 12, 1923, Mary Leona Harmon, LC53-V7Q (1903–1974); they later divorced. Mary married second Fairman Bourke Campbell, LRJ4-SN3 (1895-1952); she married third Frank Xavier Rickenbach, LR84-7GY (1888-1973).
Germain married second Inez Beulah Wilson, LRWD-5TQ, daughter of Martha Caroline Broom, LRWD-TC8, #31643634 (1883-1951), and James Clem Wilson, LRWD-R58, #28923411 (1881-1928).
Germain was employed in Public Relations.
Germain and Leona had two children:

Mr. Germain F. "Jerry" Ball, 84, of 2727 Shamrock Drive died Sept. 10, 1988 at Brian Retirement Center.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church where he was a member. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
Mr. Ball a Dayton, Ohio, native was a retired public relations officer for the Exxon Corporation.
He was active in charities playing the piano while being hoisted over The Square in Charlotte for the benefit of March of Dimes.
Survivors are his son Germain Ball of Phoenix; daughter, Mrs. Benedict Berry; sister Mrs. Celeste Culliane of Fairfax, Va.; five grandchildren.
