In Loving Memory of Derrick Cole Brandell

You were four years old,
And extra small;
But in Papaw's and Mamaw's eyes.
You were big and tall.

You left your impression,
That never will fade,
You were an inspiration,
In spite of your age.

In no time at all,
You had stolen our hearts;
Although, they are now broken,
Since we've been torn apart.

You brightened the life,
Of your ole Papaw Stroud;
But we want you to know,
That we're both very proud.

You would listen, would work,
And was eager to learn;
You were loving and caring,
And full of concern.

You were so special,
One of a kind;
A heart so big,
A young boy so fine.

You were so nice,
In so many ways;
Words can't express
The memories you made.

We'll cherish them always,
Day after day;
Cause we know you're not gone,
You are only away.

To that beautiful home,
Up there in the sky;
We'll see you again,
In the sweet by and by.

We'll miss your laughter,
And your handsome, smiling face;
No one on earth,
Could ever take your place.

You had so many dreams,
And it all seems unfair;
Guess the Good Lord had something,
More importand up there.

It angers our hearts,
For the way that you went;
But one thing is certain,
An Angel's been sent,

Back to our Savior,
In that great Promise Land.
But you'll always be Papaw's and Mamaw's
"LITTLE BIG MAN."

Rest in Peace.
We Love You, Derrick!
