Aleta L. Cramer, Prescott's Woman of the Year for 1961, died Monday, April 16, 1984, at Yavapai Community Hospital. She was 72.
Mrs. Cramer was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Arcadia, Mo., to Elza and Angie Reves. She moved to Casa Grande from Kansas City, Mo., in 1937, and to Prescott in 1941.
Mrs. Cramer was active in the local and state Democratic Women's Club, past president of the Prescott Business and Professional Women, the Western Star Rebekah Lodge 9, a life member of the Elks Ladies of Prescott, and a former member of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, James G. Cramer, a former Yavapai County Sheriff and Treasurer; a brother, Ernest Reves, and two nieces, Doris and Karen McEntire, all of Arcadia, MO.
Memorial services will be held in the Victorian Chapel of the Hampton Funeral HOme at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Merle Heatwole will officiate.
The family suggest memorial to the Yavapai Humane Society, Prescott, AZ.
