Allison, Ronald E. age 61, of Paynesville, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul. He was born in Minneapolis on December 7, 1949 the son of Ernest and Helen (McClish) Allison. He has lived in Paynesville for the past year having moved there from Becker where he lived the past 17 years. Ron was a former volunteer for the Boy's Club, was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing men's softball, bowling, snowmobiling and watching sports - especially the Twins and Vikings. He also loved to restore and show old cars, enjoyed playing cards and loved his animals. He had a deep love for his grandchildren and was very proud of them. He retired from the Star Tribune as a Journeyman Mailer with more than 30 years of service. He is survived by his daughters, Renae (Jeff) Prickett and Rachel Allison; grandchildren, Blake & Brianna; his life partner, Barbara Karels and her son Jordan. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Patricia (Obermoller) Allison. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm Monday, November 21, 2011 at The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville, 300 North Main Street, St. Michael, Minnesota. Visitation will be held at the Peterson Chapel Sunday from 1-4pm with additional visitation Monday one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Word of Peace Cemetery in Rogers. The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville assisted the family with arrangements. www.thepetersonchapel.com
