Death came Aug. 16 at Tuality Community Hospital for Lillian A. Sheelar, 68, of Forest Grove. Funeral was Aug 18 at the Forest Grove Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastors Dallas Kime and Harold Peckham officiating. Burial was in Forest View Cemetery.

Mrs. Sheelar was a native of Washington County, being born Nov. 27, 1908 at Gaston, the daughter of Robert E. and Mary Susan Porter.

She attended grade school and one year of high school in Hereford, Or., returning to Scoggins Valley in 1927 for her high school years. She was married to Myron Sheelar on May 24, 1928 at Forest Grove and the couple had resided in Forest Grove area since. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and of the Forest Grove Women's Club.

She is survived by the widower Myron; a son Lowell and a daughter, LaFleur Dwyer, all of Forest Grove; a sister, Ruth Ayer of Grants Pass; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Forest Grove Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
