William W. Jackson, 96, of Hanover, Ohio died Wednesday morning, March 21, 2012 at Autumn Health Care Center in Newark, Ohio.

Born August 13, 1915 in Earnshaw, West Virginia he was a son of the late Charles and Lydia (Hughes) Jackson and he attended Toboso High School.

Mr. Jackson was retired from the Technical Center of Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Granville. For many years he attended the Black Run Church of God and more recently he attended the Rocky Fork Church of God. He was a former member and President of the Hanover Village Council and he enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are two daughters and sons in-law, Deanna and Brian Hall of Newark and Onita and Ron Hilleary of Rocky Fork; one son and daughter in-law, Kevin and Brenda Jackson of Hanover; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Eura E. (Romine) Jackson whom he married February 19, 1937 and who died June 4, 2002; a daughter, Lavonda Sue Jackson; a sister, Virginia Hinerman and a brother, Frank Jackson.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 10am Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
