OBITUARY

MEETS ACCIDENTAL DEATH

Provo, Aug. 25.--Earl [Earle] Smoot Dusenberry, 23 [22] years of age, the only son of Mrs. Ida Smoot Dusenberry and nephew of Senator Reed Smoot, died this afternoon at 4 o'clock, as the result of a fall of thirty feet from a tree this morning. Mr. Dusenberry had volunteered to trim the shade trees in front of the house of Mrs. James Snyder and in some manner fell to the sidewalk, striking on his head and shoulders. Examination revealed no fracture of the skull or any broken bones, but he suffered a severe hemorrhage of the brain immediately afterward, lapsing into unconsciousness and never rallying [sic].

Mr. Dusenberry is survived by his mother, who is a sister of Senator Smoot and by a sister, Mina [sic] Margaret Dusenberry. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
