Johnny Thomas Jarrard Sr., 83, of 398 Adair Mill Road, Cleveland, died Monday at his residence following an extended illness.
He lived most of his life in White County and was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, P.J. Jarrard and sisters, Agnes Free and Verba Lou.
Survivors include his wife, Hala Othell Jarrard, Cleveland sons, J.T. Jarrard, Grayson, Logan Spencer Jarrard, St. Ignace, Mich., Benjamin Jarrard, David Jarrard and Barry Jarrard, all of Cleveland daughters, Teri Reed, Cleveland, Brillian Hay, Lithonia, Jenny Pentson, Clarkesville sisters, Chloe Duncan, Lena Nix and Faye Allison, all of Atlanta, Frances Grizzle, Ohio, Shirley Winkler, Dahlonega, Ruth Cash, Gainesville, Sidna Franklin, Atlanta, Betsy Peck, Gainesville 31 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at Alexander's Gateway Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.
