Fritjof "Fred" Bentsen, 83, Pawling, died June 12 in Poughkeepsie. He previously lived in College Point, LI. He was a life member of the Sons of Norway, and served in the Kings Guard in Norway. Born July 27, 1901 in Tvedestsnad, Norway, he was the son of Thorn & Carline Bentsen. He was married to the former Anna Jergensen, who died in 1970. Survived by three daughters, Thelma Heinchon, Pawling; Olga Deming, Elmont, LI; Ann Sneyers, Brick Town, NJ; sister Valborg Bentsen, Norway; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
