Marita was a fascinating and extraordinary lady who enjoyed classical music, opera and Shakespeare. She spoke several languages, including German and Chinese.

Marita came from a musical family, her older brother being legendary trombonist Abram "Abe" Lincoln. She was an avid violinist and enjoyed playing throughout her very long and rich life. Being steeped in music and the arts, Marita was once employed as the secretary to conductor, harpsichordist and concert pianist José Iturbi.

Marita enjoyed classic motion pictures and was a frequent patron of the Old Town Music Hall in El Segundo, CA.

Marita was a very special lady who's unique gifts blessed this earth.

The following poem is in her memory:

When I am gone, don't call me back,
My life on earth will be no more.
Peace I leave you, for my last act,
I'm now beyond this earthly door.

I'll miss your laughter, tears will fall,
But look within your aching heart,
Loving memories there – recall.
Hearts stay together, bodies must part.

I thank you for the love we've known.
Please know that always I'll be near
And though I take this step alone,
My soul's whispers I know you'll hear.

Live your life with courage and love,
Continue the fight you've begun.
Proudly, I'll watch you from above,
Knowing through Death – Life I
have Won.
