August Henry Klinzmann was born January 21,1906 to Fred Herman and Minnie Marie (Molzahn) Klinzmann in Phillips County, Kansas. He attended schools in Phillips county, Kansas and farmed in Kansas where he met Mary Ellen (Buck) Davis and they lived in and around the Haigler and St. Francis area. He had three Daughters with Mary, Minnie Julia whom was stillborn, Caroline (Klinzmann) Lawson on August 1,1946, and Ruth (Klinzmann) Hatfield on Octorber 15,1948.On December 25,1965 he married Sarah Herschburger. Sarah and Mary preceded him in death. In 1983 he married Florence Coates.
