☆☆ Dad was a World War II Army Veteran and served in several areas of France with the 71st Infantry, Co. C ☆☆

Dad was the 5th of 9 children born to Scott and Delia Ann Box Alcorn who married on June 3, 1911.

His paternal grandparents were:
Lafayette Alcorn and Alice (Love) Alcorn.
Lafayette's parents were Harmon Alcorn and Elvira Smith Alcorn.
Alice's parents were Dolarson Sweat Love and Sarah Jane Cole Love.

Dad's maternal grandparents were:
Maston "Matthew" Wiley Box and
Margaret Elizabeth "Maggie" (Seats) Box
Maston "Matthew"'s parents were Hardy Box and Hester Ann King Box.
Margaret "Maggie"'s parents were Benjamin F. Seats and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson? Seats.

Dad also served in the CCC Camp during the Great Depression.

After he completed his WWII service, he married Mom, Helen Catheline Smith, on June 15, 1946 and had 4 children: Tim, myself, David and Paul.

He retired from General Motors (Fisher Body Division) after 30 years of service and loved to fish, hunt and golf.
