Charles Bourne, age 85, of Russellville, died Thursday, September 14, 2000, at his home. A son of the late Fred Perry and Ica Augusta Mentch Bourne, he was born August 23, 1915, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a heating and air-conditioning engineer, a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union # 155 in Little Rock and attended First United Methodist Church in Russellville. In addition to his parents a brother, Alfred Bourne, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Neona Bourne; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Darryl Dille of Apple Valley, Minnesota; a brother, James Harvey Bourne of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Rose Alice and Joseph Chandler and Pauline Vaught, all of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Thelma M. Bourne of Independence, Missouri; two grandchildren: Deborah Ann Dille of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; and Laura Louise Dille of Farmington, Minnesota; and a second-cousin, Louise Jacobs of Little Rock.

A funeral service will be at 11 A.M., on Monday, September 18, 2000, at the Park Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri, under the direction of Park Lawn Funeral Home. Local arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 7 to8 P.M., at Shinn Funeral Service in Russellville.

Memorials may be made to the Pope County Health Unit Hospice, 203 Weir Road, Russellville, Arkansas 72802 or to the General Memorial Fund of First United Methodist Church, 301 South Denver Avenue, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
