Roy KUMLER, 82, Grass Creek, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday at his residence. Born Feb. 27, 1887, in Grass Creek, he was the son of John J. and Almeda URBIN KUMLER. His marriage was June 27, 1910, to May E. EDGERTON, who survives. A retired carpenter, he had formerly worked in the bank at Kewanna and Grass Creek. At the time of his death he was the custodian at the Grass Creek fire department. He was a member of the Grass Creek United Methodist church. Also surviving are two sons, Dean [KUMLER], Kewanna, and Byron [KUMLER], Troy, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Lindsy (Lois) EWEN, R.R. 6, Rochester; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. Seven brothers and six sisters preceded in death. Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Grass Creek United Methodist church. The Rev. John REDDIX will officiate. Burial will be in the Grass Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the Harrison funeral home in Kewanna after 1 p.m. Friday and at the church one hour prior to services.
