DAVID HARRINGTON
David Harrington, 77, of Petersburg, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg.
Born in Granite City, IL, September 20, 1926, he was the son of William and Margaret Osborn Harrington. He married Betty Lontz and she preceded him in death December 12, 1994. Later he married Jean Myers and she survives.
Harrington, a veteran, was formerly employed as a computer programmer for Continental Can. He attended Glezen Revival Center.
Other survivors include a son, Steven Harrington of Petersburg; a stepson, Greg Selby of Evansville; three daughters, Barbara Tatom of Otwell, Laura Brittain of Petersburg, and Karen McQueen of Bridgeport, IL; a stepdaughter, Vicky Peek of Chicago, IL; a brother, Kenneth Harrington of Texas; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 20, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with Tom Deen officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
