Ernest Albert Wyman was born Sep 18, 1883. He married Mayme A Lemmon who was born June 20, 1884. Mayme's parents were Andrew J and Julia E (Russell) Lemmon. Her grandparents were William W and Jane (Cassidy) Lemmon who both came to California in the early days and settled at Forbestown. Ernest & Mayme first lived at Rackerby but after their two sons Cecil and Howard were born, they moved to Colusa. There with a partner Ernest went into the bicycle, garage & jetney (taxi) business. They had access to all types of cars and Mayme, who could drive, could drive a different type of car each day if she wished. After a few years Ernest lost the business and they moved back to Rackerby where Ernest worked on the Lemmon Ranch at mining and at logging in the mountains. Mayme became postmaster at Rackerby and served from 1924 to 1930. Ernest also worked on the gold dredgers around Oroville. In about 1942 he and Mayme moved to Oroville. During WWII Ernest ran a prison gang building bridges near Beldon. Ernest died November 10, 1969, age 86 and Mayme died June 17, 1972 age 87.
