Arthur K. McBride Dies in Ames Wed. At the Age of 91
Arthur K. McBride, 91, 621 1/2 Clark Ave., died at the Mary Greeley Hospital
Wednesday morning about 3 a.m.
He was born May 6, 1873 in Illinois and came to Story county 1869.
McBride served as a policeman on the ISU campus and was also a guard for the
AEC installation at ISU.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
He is survived by one son, Harry L. of Pierpont, S. Dakota; three daughters,
Mrs. Roy C. Howell and Mrs. Harold Anderson, both of Ames, and Mrs. Arthur
Johnson of Albuquerque; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one
great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verda, in 1959; also one son Kenneth in
1949.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Adams Funeral Home in Ames.
