JoAnn Shirley, 58, of Chatsworth, California died Wednesday October 24, 2001. She was born on November 25, 1942 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to William and Esther Donahue. A loving Wife and Mother, JoAnn was the cement of a strong family bond. She was the "Official" genealogist / historian of the family, and her passion for research and writing left the reader with such a vivid mental image, it was like being there as history unfolded. Diagnosed with Cancer in the waning years of the 1990's, she did not let her illness slow her down, and pursued her passion for as long and as hard as she could till the Good Lord called her home. At the time of her passing, she left behind her husband Robert, two sons; David and Tommy, two daughters; Christa and Debbie, two brothers Billy and Ken, a half sister Marie, and a multitude of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. To say that she is sorely missed would be a gross understatement.
