Ed was a graduate of Bluefield High School and was a part of the 1975 Championship Team. He was a former member of the Bluefield Fire Department, a salesman for Andy Clark Ford, Abbs Valley Electric, Pemco, and M&J Motor Repairs. At the time of his death he was working for Pinnacle Promotions as a Sales Manager.
He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He learned to ride as a child, from his father and grandfather.
