Clifford Chapman Death Occurred Thursday

Arthur Clifford Chapman, son of George and Elizabeth Chapman was born May 13, 1883 at LaMoil [sic], Illinois, and departed from this life, Thursday, Dec. 22, at his home at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 9 days.
In 1887, with his parents, he came to the Loup City community where he has spent the remainder of his life.
At the age of 8 years, he was baptized in the Presbyterian church.
On June 14, 1922, he was united in marriage to Anna Roesler at Loup City, making their home on the farm southeast of Loup City where Clifford passed away. To this union eight children were born.
Many years a member of IOOF, Cliff will be remembered by his friends for his honesty and truthfulness. He was a most devoted father and husband. He knew much of hard work, and did all the work on his farm, until he became ill, a few years ago. His health continuing to fail, he was taken to the University hospital, where he underwent a major operation on October 15, from which he never recovered.
Left to mourn his passing, are his wife Anna, five daughters, Ruth, Ethel, Mable, Norma Jean and Florence, two sons, Glen and Fred. One infant preceded him in death. Four brothers, Fred, Edson and Roy of Loup City and Gill of North Platte; three sisters, Minnie Baker of Wash. D. C., Viola Weber of Washington and Ethel Schoening of Loup City also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in charge of Rev. Harwood. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery.
