James Walter McKemie, age 84, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away, March 31, 2012, at the Brighmoor Nursing Center. Mr. McKemie was born October 6, 1927 in Griffin, the son of the late Charlie Rogers McKemie and Cornelia Kirland McKemie. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Head McKemie. Survivors include two nephews; and a great-niece.
Funeral services held on April 5 in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, Griffin. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
