The Daily Record - July 21, 1944: RITTMAN - July 21, Alexander Christian, 75, died last evening at 7 o'clock at his home. He had been in ill health for the past year, but death was very sudden, due to a heart attack. The family had lived in this community for 30 years, coming here from Ft. Gay, West Va. He was a member of the Maccabees Lodge in Wooster, and the Masonic Lodge of Rittman.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; six children; 14 grandchildren and one brother, Yates.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Ebert funeral home Monday afternoon at 2, with Rev. Eccols, Pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be made in the Rittman Cemetery.
