Kristie went to Western Heights High School, where she was the basketball homecoming queen, and to Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she earned a Master's degree in psychology. A licensed psychology counselor, Kristie felt it was her calling from God to help young people deal with mental disorders and emotional trauma. Making a difference in their lives was the sole purpose of her life. A devout Christian, she often shared her faith with her clients. She was described as having "the heart of a servant." In 1999, she earned the Counselor Of The Year Award for the entire state of Oklahoma. Kristie was a victim of homicide.
