Donel G. Blake, son of Henry and Frena Cales Blake, was born March 14, 1930 at Haddam, KS., and died April 18, 1995 at Scottsbluff Hospital, Scottsbluff, Neb., at the age of 65 years.

He grew up and received his education in Haddam and graduated from Haddam High School.

He served with the U. S. Navy from 1951 to 1954. Upon his discharge, he moved to Scottsbluff, Neb.

He was united in marriage to Grace Breen at Sidney, Neb., on September 9, 1957. He worked for United Telephone Company for 37 years until his retirement in 1993.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jack Blake, and brother, Rod Blake. He is survived by his wife Grace of Scottsbluff, daughters, Linda Bauer of Bayard, Connie Schnell of Greeley, Colo., and Pan Hessler of Scottsbluff; brothers, Bill Blake of Sidney, and Jim Blake of Olathe, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 1995 at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff, with Rev. Cal Leeds officiating.
