Florence Matilda O'Hara was one of seven children born to Daniel Walter and Jane Sophia (Hawkins) O'Hara. She was born in Chelsfield, England and came with her family to this country on the steamship Merion in 1908, settling in New York City. It was there that she met a young Navy sailor, Warren William Wesley. The couple married 21 Aug 1915 and together they raised two sons, Raymond Weston and Arthur Charles.

Florence, also known as "Florrie", enjoyed hooking rugs, embroidery, doll making and baking. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a good sense of humor. She was a devote Christian and member of the Wollaston Methodist Church in Wollaston, Massachusetts.

Florence died peacefully in her sleep at the home of her granddaughter, Beverly Templeton, in Alexandria, Virginia. Her husband Warren William Wesley, proceeded her in death in 1950. Florence leaves her two sons, Raymond Weston of Alexandria, Virginia, and Arthur Charles of Canton, Massachusetts; three siblings, Selina Stiefel Hamilton of Warrenville, South Carolina, Charles O'Hara of Freeport, New York and Annie Ahrens of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Gary Wesley, Kevin Wesley, Beverly Templeton, Warren Wesley and Karen Erikson; eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held at Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria, Virginia and Deware Funeral Home in Wollaston, Massachusetts. Burial was at Mount Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy, Massachusetts next to her husband and daughter-in-law, Billie M. (Geyer) Wesley.
