Nancy Dunham was born in Kentucky in 1824. Came to this state when six years of age. Was married to Thomas Wyatt in 1839. she was the mother of 12 Children, 7 of whom are living, they are: W.W., J.W., D.F., F.H., A.W., Ada, wife of H.C. Armstrong, and Ida, wife of Wm. Denham. Mrs Wyatt joined the United Baptist Church in Macoupin county in 1858, and the Oakland church about 30 yrs ago, of which she remained a consistent member till her death. She had about 60 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She died at her home, 7 miles north-east of Whitehall, April 16, 1900, aged 76 years and 29 days. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.T. Green. The burial took place in the Jones Cemetery, April 17. The pall bearers were: James Bigley, Ira Brisco, James Hutton, Sam'l Pruitt, Lou Allen and Leo Ralston.
