BEATTY, AL JOE — Of Jackson, went home to the Lord, Monday, June 11, 2007, at W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital, age 62 years. He was the son of Almond and Hazel Beatty, born July 20, 1944 in Jackson, MI∼Al was a happy man with a heart of gold. When he and Sue would host a party, which was often, he worked the room to be sure everyone felt at home. Al started his adult life at 14, learned the job of being a mason and owned his owned business.He always had a loyal dog, loved kids and people in general.
God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him
And whispered, "Come with Me."
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer,
And saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
