Funeral Services Here Sunday for Mrs. R. C. Ratley
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock in the Chapel of the Americus Undertaking Company for Mrs. Ruby Cook Ratley, 71, of 505 S. Lee Street, who died Saturday afternoon at the City Hospital after an extended illness.
Services were conducted by Rev. Horace Freeman, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Albany. He was assisted by Rev. Ralph Porterfield, of Americus.
Mrs. Ratley is survived by four daughters, all of Americus: Mrs. Cliff Pantone, Mrs. Ruby Bass, Mrs. J. S. Burton and Mrs. W. K. Tanner; five grandchildren, Barbara Burton, Jimmy Young, Evan Bass and Carroll Bass, all of Americus and Theron Bass, Jr. with the Third Army in Germany, and one sister, Mrs. H. J. Davis, of Dawson.
