HOWARD W. FIELD

Howard W. Field, 76, Lindall Apartments, died Tuesday night at Trinity Regional Hospital following a sudden illness.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Laufersweller-Sievers Funeral Home with the Rev. William Pekari, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife Marian; daughters, Hardie Rothschild, Norman, Okla., Susan Smalley, Kansas City, Mo.; son, Steven Field, Waterloo; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Edward R. Field, Blue Springs, MO.

He was born in Lexington, MO., and attended schools in Kansas City. He graduated from high school in Kansas City. We was employed at Palace Clothing Company in Kansas City. In 1946, he moved to Fort Dodge and was employed at Fantles. He married Marian Brattmiller in Fort Dodge. In 1956, he established the Field Boys Shop which he owned and operated with his wife until 1974 when they retired.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
