Ethel May Stevenson, 84, Route 1, Herndon, died at 4:45 a.m. today at Jennie Stuart Hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday al Hughart Funeral Home with the Rev. Etheridge Floyd officiating and burial in Riverside Cemetery.

A native of Christian County, she was born May 26, 1897. the daughter of the late Burris and BIanche Weaver Hall. Mrs. Stevenson was a member of Little River Baptist Church. Her husband, Nathan Edward Stevenson, died in 1945.

Survivors Include seven sons, Joe, Robert, Thomas, Ray and Goeble, all of the county, Willie of the city, and Roy Stevenson, Maryville, Tenn.; two daughters, Mrs. Homer (Mary) Braboy and Mrs. Scott (Virginia) Brown, both of the county; one brother, Elliott Hall, city; one sister, Mrs. Leonard Gee, city; 40 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
