SUDDEN DEATH AT LINDA
Mr Ambrose McDermott, a returned soldier, employed as a miner by the Mount Lyell M. and R. Co., aged 36 years, died suddenly at his brother's residence, Linda, about 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Deceased was taken ill whilst playing with his brother's children, and died before medical assistance arrived.
The matter was reported to the Coroner, who deputed Dr Love to make a post-mortem. On this being done Dr Love found that death was due to natural causes, whereupon the Coroner decided that an inquest was unnecessary.
The deceased also had a second brother at Queenstown, and his parents are living at Campbell Town.
