Benjamin and his first wife Louise were the parents of John Bloomfield Jervis (b. December 28, 1850 - d. March 19, 1869).
Benjamin F. Jervis was aged 92 years old. His wife Martha survived him.

The funeral of Benjamin Franklin Jervis, who died at his home, 114 West Seneca Street, yesterday afternoon, will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. E.A. George, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery. The honorary pall-bearers will be: Charles W. Gay, Mynderse Van Cleef, W.B. Georgia, and George W. Hoysradt. The active bearers will be George Tankin, A.H. Platt, A.B. Brooks, John C. Gauntlett, W.A. Church and Fred P. Barr.
