George Mickle Meadows was born on October 22, 1873, in Sheldon, Missouri, his father, John, was 24 and his mother, Mary, was 14. He was married four times and had two sons and one daughter. He died on September 10, 1962, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 88, and was buried there. George ran a small grocery store in Muskogee with his wife Mary Jo in the early 50s.
