Arlan L Banning, 69, of 7016 Tenacity Lane, Johnston, died of cancer Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 1 pm Friday at Meredith Drive Reformed Church, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Banning was a lifelong Des Moines resident and the owner of Park Realty. He was a member of Point of Grace Ministries, Highland Park Kiwanis and Antique Automobile Club of America. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; a son, David, and a daughter, Sharman Bradshaw, and two stepdaughters, Lea Ann Blanchard and Jody Headlee, all of Des Moines; and six grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 pm today at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Antique Automobile Club of America.
