Benjamin A. Schultz passed away Tuesday evening at St. Luke's Hospital after a three month illness. Age 69 years. He was born September 19, 1893 in North Tonawanda, N.Y. moving with his parents to Hemlock in childhood, and to Saginaw when he was a young man. The deceased was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. For 10 years, he had been employed at the Jackson & Church Co., and had served as duputy county treasurer in 1937, and also on the executive board of the ration board during world War II and later for 15 years on plant protection at Eaton Manuafacturing Co., retiring in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He was a member of the American Legion. On October 17, 1928, he married Emma M. Walz here. She predeceased him July 24, 1962. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marvin Hecht, Vassar; two grandchildren, Sandra and Gary Hecht; one sister and four brothers, Mrs. Felix Wolderzak, Saginaw; Herbert, Frederick and William Schultz, all of Freeland; Leonard Schultz, Phoenix, Az.....burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens...
