Lizzie Miller Felkey was born on June 26, 1877 to Charles and Emily Miller. She was the tenth of thirteen chidren.
Lizzie grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She was one of only five of her siblings to live into adulthood.
Somewhere on the timeline, Lizzie moved to her father's homeland - Ohio. It was there that she met James Madison Felkey, who became her husband on June 20, 1899. They were blessed with a daughter, Clara; and eight sons: Edward, Kenneth, Carl, Curry, David, Cecil, Samuel, and Charles.
Lizzie was a very hospitable woman and she often welcomed members of her family into her home - throughout time, this included her brother in law, Lester, and her widowed mother, Emily, who stayed with the family until her death. Liz was a magnificent mother and raised one of the greatest women in our family: my great-great grandmother.
