Golda "Bebo" Pauline Jones

Golda "Bebo" Pauline Jones, 91, of Polk County, left this world and entered into our Heavenly Father's arms on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Cleveland and was the founding member and a singer with The Happy Three for more than 60 years. She hosted a radio show for many years on WBIN called "Moments of Sunshine." There was nothing that she loved more than singing praises to her Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Newton and Mattie Emmaline Wiley Woody; her husbands, Burch Ellis, Roscoe "Rock" Owens and Walter Jones; one grandson, Allen Hicks; one granddaughter, Marion Perry; one sister, Lorene; one brother-in-law, Darrell F. Beard; and one sister-in-law, Francis Woody.

She leaves behind her beloved children and their spouses, Linda and Allen Perry of Benton, Judy and Ralph Lillard of Cleveland, Hoyle and Wanda Ellis of Benton, Oliver "Bo" and Betty Ellis of Chatsworth, Ga., and Eyvonne and Robert Chastain, Vivian and William Johnson and Danny and Debbie Jones, all of Cleveland; her stepmother, Thelma Woody of Benton; grandchildren and their spouses, Rex and Caroline Perry, David and Sandy Ellis, Denise McCormick, Jeff Hicks, Rodney and Lucy Hicks, Jackie and Mitch Linder, Amy and Kevin Lawson, Adam and Christina Ellis and Amber and Kevin of Chatsworth, Ga.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, the Rev. Jasper Woody and James and Mary Woody; one sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Dean Carver; 19 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Weaver officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Benton Cemetery with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Higgins Funeral Home of Benton is in charge of arrangements.
