Frank P. Borgognoni, 69, of Bulpitt died at 10:10 a.m. Friday, February 25, 1994, at his home.

Mr. Borgognoni was born July 4, 1924 in Tovey, the son of Pete and Louise “Gigi” (Corso) Borgognoni. He married Betty J. Burke on September 25, 1951 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. They later divorced. Mr. Borgognoni was a 1942 graduate of South Fork Community High School in Kincaid. He worked as a coal miner at Peabody Coal Mine #10 in Pawnee from 1969 to 1985. Mr. Borgognoni served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1943 to 1946. He was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kincaid.

Surviving are one son, William (wife, Gayla) Borgognoni of Carbondale; one sister, Mrs. Phillip Jr. (Mary) Mayer of Bulpitt; one brother, James (wife, Monica) Borgognoni of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Vincent Borgognoni.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 28, 1994, at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid. Father Frank Campbell officiated, with burial following in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Mayer, John Mayer, Leo Puccetti, Teddy Pleshe, Terry Workman and Gene Anderson.
